IPA Executive Board

The College Senate of the International Pető Institute gives the Honorary Conductor award. It was established in 1990 to recognise the work of non-conductors in the field, which is well-known both in the homeland and internationally. Nominations are initiated by leading persons and are submitted to the International Pető Association Executive Committee. The IPA Nominating Committee considers the person’s contribution to the development of Conductive Education and its deserving of wider and more formal recognition. The final nomination is submitted to the Senate of the András Pető College who are authorised to make a final decision about acceptance.

We are pleased to inform all fellow members that a bilingual celebration publication on Mária Hári has appeared recently. The premiere of the book will be on 30th June 2015 at 11 a.m. in the lecture hall of the András Pető College’s Villányi Street building. Ordering the book will be possible both via Internet and by post. The price is HUF 4000 (there will be a discount price for conductors). The András Pető Institute of Conductive Education and Conductor Training College and The International Pető Association invited children and youth receiving or having received conductive education to participate in a Drawing and Painting Competition.

Deciding on prizes proved to be a pleasant but at the same time difficult task for the jury. A huge number of valuable pieces of art had been submitted from different parts of the world. Winners were selected in three age groups and categories. For the list of winners please see the attachment.

Winners’ names will be formally announced in the 8th World Congress on Conductive Education which is to take place from 9 to 12 October 2013 in Munich.

Those who are unable to attend or request postal delivery in writing will receive their prizes by mail.

A part of the pieces of art sent in for the contest will be on display in exhibitions, on the Internet and also in printed form. We are also planning to arrange a travelling exhibition among the facilities of the member organisations.
